Mission
To build a partnership between the library, the community and surrounding areas.  To be an advocate of quality library service for people of all ages.

Purpose
To assist the library in providing good library services for the county, to promote volunteer participation, to plan and implement fundraising events including book sales, to focus on open communication, programs, activities, resources and needs.  To help encourage the use and enjoyment of the Independence Public Library.
